Register A Kennel Name
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE COMPLETING THE KENNEL APPLICATION FORM
A registered kennel name is a word which is for the exclusive use of a breeder in the identification of dogs he makes application to register. ADBA undertakes to use reasonable care to protect such kennel names submitted and accepted by the ADBA for the sole use of the individual submitting same.
Any person in good standing with the American Dog Breeders Association, Inc., whose registration policies agree with the registration policies of the ADBA, may be granted a registered kennel name.
The registration of a kennel name does not constitute the endorsement of the applicant's establishment or kennel by the ADBA. It is merely an acceptance of an identifying name issued to the applicant.
Names that will be approved for use as a registered kennel name will most likely be names which are unique or manufactured by the combination of words. Words commonly used by others in naming dogs (i.e., Little, Big, Old) initials, and colors will not be accepted as a registered kennel name. Last names will not be accepted as a registered kennel name, as other persons may have legal right to use a last name belonging to themselves. All kennel names will show possession unless past registration of dogs has set a precedent otherwise (i.e., "GOING LIGHT BARNEY, "RUFFIAN OF HAR-WYN", "GOOD TIMES JOE", etc.).
A kennel name that has been applied for and accepted by the ADBA, with payment of the $200.00 fee is to assure exclusive rights to desired kennel name ONLY.
All Paperwork sent in under ownership of a kennel will recieve a Kennel Rush(approx. 10 working day processing)
Future registrations of single dogs and litters will be charged current ADBA registration fees.
